Introducing our new "Photo Tour Plus." Plus what? As with all good photo tours, we'll take you to great places to shoot, of course. The plus is a half-day review and critique of your photo tour images in a classroom setting. This is the big "Plus" - you'll learn a great deal in just a few hours about how to create better images from Les and Janet's feedback, thoughtful critique, and their useful techniques for post- processing.
This photo tour will take us to America's oldest city, St. Augustine, FL, for four days of amazing photography opportunities. The city is famously known for its historic Spanish colonial architecture and the Alligator Farm Zoological Park. May is the perfect time to set up your tripod at the Alligator Farm's rookery to photograph the newly hatched chicks alongside adults. You don't need to be a birder to appreciate the beautiful wading birds and their adorable young crowding for space in the nests. The experience is very "up close and personal" with these roosting birds, as well as the captive animals at the Farm, which include lemurs, other exotic other birds, and lots of alligators.
We'll also enjoy the sights of the Old City of St. Augustine, which is a great "walking city." You'll photograph beautiful detail in the colonial architecture, colorful Spanish-style buildings and quaint alleyways. And, we'll enjoy some wonderful cuisine together.
We'll shoot Coquina rocks, an unusual formation of compressed shells, on Marineland Beach. And we'll shoot sunrise from St. Augustine Beach, a short walk from our hotel. The last morning of the tour, we'll meet in the hotel's conference room to share images taken during the tour and receive Janet and Les's instructional feedback.
