Location: Brevard, NC

Instructors: Janet Garrity Saucier and Les Saucier

Limit: 10 participants. 8 seats available.

Our art of seeing workshops are designed to help you access, and expand, your unique creative vision. The workshops are designed to help you become a better photographer.

In the classroom, you’ll learn how to move beyond the rule of thirds and improve your compositions. You’ll also learn how to use graphic design elements to better catch and hold the viewer’s interest.

In the field, you’ll learn to use your camera’s controls and lenses to emphasize your subject, your vision, to the viewer. Plus, you will learn “Pro Tips” on how to use your gear effortlessly in the field.

The highlights of every one of Janet and Les's workshops are the critiques of participants' work. You'll learn more about your unique vision and creative processing during the two critiques included in this workshop than in any other part of the workshop. Critiques are so important that Les and Janet never teach a workshop without participants' photo critiques.

Art of seeing workshops are designed for beginning and experienced photographers who shoot DSLRs or mirrorless cameras. Whether you’ve been shooting for years or only a short time, Saucier Photography's workshops will give you the opportunity to become a better photographer, to enjoy your time shooting more than ever, and to create better images in post processing.

Hiking and Exertion -

There isn't much need for hiking unless you choose to do so, as most locations are a short distance from parking areas. Grounds may be uneven at some locations. Days can be long, so participants need to have stamina for a day in the field, particularly should the opportunity for a good sunrise and sunset occur on the same day.

Participants are responsible for their own transportation during the photo tour, as well as getting to the workshop/photo tour location and returning to your point of origin. We encourage car pooling during the workshop/photo tour when possible.

Trip Insurance -

Trip insurance is highly recommended in the case you need to cancel at the last minute due to family emergency and/or illness. Our cancellation policy is available on our Workshop FAQs page. Each hotel has its own cancellation policy, which you are responsible to be aware of and to follow.
